How much does it cost?
Active Magazine Fundraising is a free service for you and your team. The only costs associated with Active Magazine Fundraising are the purchase costs of the magazines offered through the online store. As a value to your supporters, these prices are discounted from the newstand price.

How do I get paid?
Active.com will mail a check to you once every month. You always have online access to your fundraising reports through your admin center, so you can track exactly how much your team has raised. Your monthly check will cover all magazine sales from the previous month. For example, you would receive a check by the end of February for all magazine sales recorded through your fundraiser in January. If at any time you wish to update your mailing address, you may do so through your admin center.

How is the transaction handled?
Active.com processes all magazine orders placed through Active Magazine Fundraising websites. Purchasers receive a confirmation message upon completing the online transaction as well as a confirmation email. Purchasers will see a charge from Active.com on their billing statement.

How do participants access my online magazine fundraiser?
There are two ways for your supporters to access your online magazine fundraiser. The first and most effective way is by using the email tools provided to you from your admin page. These robust tools allow you to invite both team members as well as supporters to participate in your fundraiser. The emails you send automatically include a link to your personal magazine store, and allow you to enter a custom message encouraging people to either fundraise or help spread the word.

Another effective method is to provide a link from your web site. If you are an eteamz member, you can automatically choose to ad a link to your team’s homepage that will allow supporters to access your personal magazine store.

What is the admin center and how do I use it?
Every personal online magazine fundraising page has an admin center that allows the team captain to manage every aspect of the campaign. From the admin center, you can: customize your personal fundraising page with a welcome message, team logo, color scheme and more; send emails to your team and supporters; and view reports, including how many emails each team member has sent and how many sales each member has recorded. This informaiton is perfect for tracking a fundraising contest for your team.

To access your admin center, log in with your user name and password at the upper right corner of your personal fundraising page.

If I forgot my username and password, what do I do?
Go to your personal fundraising page and select "forget your password?" at the upper right corner of the page. Provide the information requested and click "submit." Your username and password will immediately be e-mailed to you. NOTE: If your username and password are associated with a different e-mail address then the one you are currently using, you will not receive the e-mail, as we may not have the new address associated with your username and password. You will have to contact customer service to get your user information.

Can supporters place orders for delivery outside the U.S. ?
Magazine subscriptions placed through Active Magazine Fundraising can only be mailed within the Continental United States.

What is Active.com's privacy policy?
Active offers its customers one of the most stringent privacy policies on the Internet. As is stated in the formal Privacy Policy posted on the Active.com website, as well as in all Active.com online registration contracts, we DO NOT and WILL NOT share specific individual participant data (e.g. name, email address, etc) or account information with third parties (e.g. advertisers, investors, partners, etc). Our partners may on occasion address this market through other means, such as ActiveWeekly, the popular email newsletter that most of Active.com's visitors elect to receive. We have found that our customers respond favorably to relevant messages that offer a tangible benefit, such as product discounts, training tips and informative articles. Receipt of these messages is left to the participant's discretion.

Are online transactions secure?
Active protects registrants' payment information at all times using several thorough security policies and safeguards. Strict security begins at the point of data transmission, where we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption certificates issued by industry leader VeriSign (www.verisign.com) on all of our payment servers.

This SLL encryption scrambles all payment information between the registrants' computers and our servers, payment data is effectively locked away by storing payment data on separate servers that do not have direct access to the Internet, and protecting them from digital access using a firewall. Payment data is further secured by limiting access, in fact denying access, from the Web site. Our Web site does not read credit card data from the database, nor does it make that data available to event administrators using our data export utility. Thus, credit card data is never available on the Web site, never leaves the Active systems, and event administrators are protected from the risk they would incur if they had to store and protect that data themselves.

What are traditional fundraisers?
Traditional fundraisers is how we describe our offline products and services, including scratch cards and coupon books. These fundraisers are great options for short, effective campaigns especially when targeted to raise money for a specific event.

What are my payment options?
You may pay for your order up front with a credit card or we can invoice you for payment within 30 days. If payment is not received within 30 days, we will automatically bill whatever credit card we have on file. The 30 day payment option give you the flexibility to raise money before your payment is due.

How long does a traditional fundraiser take to execute?
There is no set time limit for conducting a traditional offline fundraiser. However, it is best to focus your efforts on a few weeks as campaign that last too long tend to loose steam over time. It helps to set an end-date to the campaign before starting so that all your team members know exactly how long they have to sell.

Can I return unused product?
Active Team Fundraising does not accept product returns unless the product has a defect. However, if for any reason you have left over scratch cards at the end of your campaign, we can send you new coupon pads with new expiration dates anytime to refill the booklets… free of charge. This allows you to use the expired scratch cards for future campaigns.

If I’m already doing a online magazine fundraiser, can I also do an offline fundraiser?
Absolutely! Combining a traditional offline fundraiser (like scratch cards) with a 24/7 online magazine fundraiser is a great way to maximize your earning potential throughout the year.
